For the GMV spotter, the easist way
to identify a Sports Coupe is by the Interior Trim code on the
driver's door. All Sports Coupe trim codes begin with a "P".
Aside from the trim code, Sports Coupes have unmistakable woven
inserts in the seats and door panels unlike all other 1977 models.
If you enjoy driving, then a 1977 ½ Sport Coupe Option may be
for you. The new option includes front and rear full-rubber
bumper guards, a new taillamp lens with black surround, dual
color-keyed outside sport mirrors, styled-steel wheels painted
white, louvered opera-window appliqués, and a choice of the
standard narrow tape/paint treatment or no-charge wide multicolor
accent stripes. The option also includes reclining bucket seats
and unique door trim, a floor-mounted shift lever and a black,
leather-wrapped sports steering wheel. |
